Have you ever viewed your Bank or Credit Card accounts online before?

If not, you will need to enroll in online banking directly with your financial institutions. This is the level of security that Donate Your Change is built upon. You will then be able to Link Bank accounts and Credit Cards to your charity using your Online Banking Profile ensuring the highest level of security at all times.

If yes, have your Online Banking information ready as you complete the sign-up process with DonateYourChange to support for your chosen charity. Simply follow the step by step prompts when you click “Sign Up Now”. Simple and Secure.

During the signup process, as you Link your accounts to your DYC charity, your bank will ask you to verify your identity to complete this connection. Providing your bank this info ensures your credentials and completes this Link. Any banking and security information requested is secure between you and your bank. DYC does not see or store any of this information.

NOTE: Donate Your Change Canada will never contact you requesting your personal information or account passwords. You will be the only one who is able to Link your accounts and make changes to your giving profile. You may be notified if an account has changed or a card has expired, but it is up to you to respond. You are always in control of your giving.

Why will I need my online banking information?

This level of security ensures that only you will be the one linking your accounts to the DYC funding tool. You are the only one with this secure information and the information is not stored on our system. 

You are simply authorizing DYC to process your round ups for your charity.

During signing up, I have connected with my bank profile and I see all my cards and accounts. I don't want everything Linked, what do I do?

You may have many accounts in your personal bank profile and you can exclude any you do not wish to Link at this time or unlink these in the future.

Now that my profile is set up, do I have to do anything else?

There is nothing else that must be done. Your account will continue to actively donate to your charity, without involvement. You will have to update any accounts or cards that expire to keep them active.

I see many options populate when I try to select my financial institution. Which one do I choose?

With many institutions, it may look like there are many options to choose from but only one will truly work with your account sign-in. If you select one and receive an error, try the next one. (e.g.American Express populates over 20 options but only one will be associated with your card) If you require further help on this, please contact for assistance.

I keep getting an error. Am I doing something wrong?

With over 18,000 institutions; this level of security; and changes happening daily from many sources; errors can be expected. While selecting the right financial institution, you may have to try a number of the options until you get the one that works.
